Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, M.K. Newton is a debut Canadian author who was compelled to capture the antics of his father and local gang of boys as they bridged the gap between childhood into adulthood in 1946 Runnymede, a neighbourhood in Toronto’s west end.
With a familial history spanning ten generations in Canada and of Irish origin, stories have always been an integral part of M.K.’s life.
Techie by day and writer by night, M.K. Newton and his family, (including three cats) enjoy watching Canada’s national sport, fitness and science fiction.
“Bridge from Boyhood” is M.K. Newton’s first middle-school age series with “The Discovery,” set to launch in January, 2020. Books two through six will launch in 2020 and continue to follow the main character, Clifford and his friends through their adventures and misadventures as they walk the bridge and see what lies beyond.
